Disclosure: I am a proud member of the Hershey's Sweetest Families panel, which enables me to bring you info and posts all about Hersheypark and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Properties. The information below was taken directly from HE&R press release. You can read all of my Hershey posts here.

Hersheypark amusement park, a 121-acre theme park with more than 70 rides, a water park and a zoo, today unwrapped the details of the culinary and shopping experiences planned for the new Hershey’s Chocolatetown region at Hersheypark, where guests can play, eat, shop and gather starting in summer 2020. Inspired by the vision of chocolate entrepreneur and founder Milton S. Hershey, new, year-round dining and retail offerings in Hershey’s Chocolatetown will delight guests seeking fun and chocolate, including:

*The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar  and Patio, the largest themed restaurant in Hershey with one-of-a-kind views of Hersheypark and Candymonium, its 15th coaster

*Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor with personal Ice Creamologists serving up exclusive ice cream creations

*The Sweeterie, a new scratch confectionery kitchen

*Hersheypark Supply Co., a premier 10,000-square-foot flagship store.

The Chocolatier

The Chocolatier will be Hershey’s largest full-service restaurant and bar with seating for approximately 300 indoors and approximately 100 outdoors. Innovative fare with hints of chocolate will be served from an open kitchen while bartenders craft cocktails behind a Carrousel-themed bar. A restaurant that can only exist in Hersheypark, the decor of The Chocolatier will feature past and present pieces from the Hersheypark ride collection, one-of-a-kind views of neighboring attractions, dining with Hershey Character breakfast options and a second-story patio and bar.

Milton's Ice Cream Parlor

On the first floor of the building, Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor is a nod to one of Milton S. Hershey’s earliest ventures in sweetness - a malt shop on Philadelphia’s Spring Garden Street. The vintage-style ice cream parlor will serve up scooped-to-order sundaes and shakes with a new-fashioned spin with seating for approximately 60 indoors and 90 outdoors. Expert Ice Creamologists will craft custom creations from more than 12 rotating flavors of house-made ice cream, an impressive selection of Hershey’s candy toppings, decadent sauces, and more with a sharables menu featuring classic snacks.

The Sweeterie

Located next door, The Sweeterie will be a scratch confectionery kitchen led by Chef Cher Harris, the Corporate Pastry Chef at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Guests are invited to watch as the team of Confectioners creates mouth-watering sweets right before their eyes. More than 50 hand-crafted confections including chocolate-dipped treats, artisan baked goods, signature hand-crafted fudge, and more will be made with love in Hershey’s Chocolatetown.

Hersheypark Supply Co.

And in the same building, Hersheypark Supply Co. will offer the largest collection of apparel, gifts, toys and more exclusive to Hersheypark as part of a new 10,000-square-foot flagship store.

Candymonium

Opening in summer 2020 as part of a $150 million transformational expansion, the 23-acre development of Hershey’s Chocolatetown will also boast Candymonium, the tallest, fastest, longest and sweetest coaster at Hersheypark announced in July. Other exciting features include a new arrival experience and front gate with a new logo debuted in September; a signature Kisses Fountain; a Starbucks store; and other unique shopping and play experiences to come.

Starbucks

This wasn't in yesterday's press release, but I'm adding it in because I know some Starbucks fans out there are going to be really happy! Coffee's brewing in Chocolatetown! Hersheypark and Starbucks are bringing fun, chocolate, and coffee together in a sweet new way. Grab, order, and gather with friends and family in our indoor or outdoor seating areas.

After announcing the story behind Hershey’s Chocolatetown one year ago today, construction began in January 2019. Guests can learn more about the next chapter of Hersheypark at www.hersheypark.com/chocolatetown and follow the hashtag #HPChocolatetown.

So what do you think?? What are you most excited for? I'm excited for all of it. I've been watching the construction at Hersheypark for the past several months now, and it's really moving along. I can't wait to see the birth of Chocolatetown!
