What's New at Hersheypark this Summer?

Reese's Cupfusion

Reese's Cupfusion is set to open May 25th! I'll have a sneak preview for you before that, so be sure to stay tuned to my social channels (I'll also update this post when I receive more info). Here's the description straight from Hersheypark: "Become an agent, protect the factory, and ensure the world is never deprived of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups on this all-new interactive gaming ride which features the most targets in the world and six ways to play! Reese's Cupfusion℠ merges the world's love of chocolate and peanut butter to create a sweet full-sensory adventure with multiple ways to play for the entire family. As an agent trainee, riders are given the latest technology to track their scores, receive a free ride photo, and earn their place on the Reese's Hall Of Fame.  Discover all the ways to guard the Crystal Cup including activating targets to power the factory, stunning intruders with your amplifier, working with fellow agents to unlock extra points, and more!"  Reese's Cupfusion is for riders 48" and taller (Hershey's, Twizzlers and Jolly Ranchers, for those of you who know your Hersheypark height requirements!). Read more about Reese's Cupfusion here.

Reese's Cupfusion Extended

The mission continues outside of  the new Reese’s Cupfusion attraction. Some of the rides near Reese's Cupfusion have gone through a transformation! Now you can take a spin on two kiddie rides that have been taken over by Mint the Merciless and the League of Misfit Candy. Families can purchase some sweet swag from the Agent Supplies store, challenge each other to the Commander Cup Factory Game, and meet the all-new Reese’s Cupfusion Characters here.

King Shakes - New Summer Flavors!!

Really, do you need any other reason to visit the park besides these three beauties? Found only at Simply Chocolate within Hersheypark, the three new flavors this Summer include Mint the Merciless, Reese's Cupfusion and Slither & Squirm. Each season, Simply Chocolate reveals a NEW King Shake line-up, so make sure you check them out whenever you visit the park!

New BBLz Creations

Grab your camera 'cause the creations from BBLz are truly Instagram-worthy! This summer's new flavors are the Chocolate PB Fusion and the Jolly Drop!

HPGO - Happiness Personalized

This is super exciting! Now you can use the all-new HPGO program to view personalized ride stats and ride photos in the Hersheypark App. Plus, connect your Fast Track purchase with your HPGO wristband to skip the regular line at up to 13 attractions. All you have to do is tap the Kiss-shaped HPGO reader at all Fast Track locations. Beginning summer 2019, you can even collect ride stats and photos at Whitecap Racer and Reese’s Cupfusion.

HPGO is a program that allows you to view personalized ride stats, ride photos, and manage a previously purchased Fast Track. Pick up a free HPGO wristband inside Hersheypark at Fast Track Services, Reese’s Cupfusion or Whitecap Racer and connect it to the Hersheypark app to view your dashboard. Fast Track is an additional purchase to your general admission ticket, but the HPGO program is free. Ride stats, photos, the HPGO account in the Hersheypark app, and the HPGO wristband are all free. Woo hoo!

Redesigned Gondolas

The gondolas are a favorite way to relax and chill out during a visit to Hersheypark. This summer you'll see that the gondolas received a bit of a face-lift! Which one do you want to ride?

Fast Track Unlimited

Here's some news straight from the Hersheypark site about their Fast Track program: "Skipping the regular line is just a tap away with the Fast Track & HPGO programs! Get to the thrills faster on 14 participating attractions, including 12 coasters - starting at just $39! Don't miss out, limited quantities available." And as I stated above, you can now connect your Fast Track purchase to your free HPGO wristband. All you have to do is tap the Kiss-shaped HPGO reader at all Fast Track locations to skip the regular line. You can manage your Fast Track and view your personalized dashboard in the Hersheypark App. There are now three Fast Track options available:

-Fast Track allows you to skip the regular line once for each of the 14 featured attractions.

-Fast Track Unlimited allows you to skip the regular line on all 14 featured attractions all day long.

-Add on Whitecap Racer attraction and Breakers Edge® Water Coaster to your Fast Track or Fast Track Unlimited to extend the fun to 16 attractions.

Yummy New Dessert Choices

There's nothing like a good snack or treat from Hersheypark. This summer, you'll find a new FUNDAE at Founder's Way Funnel Cake, and this one is inspired by Reese's Cupfusion!
There's a funnel cake at its base, of course, but it's also filled with chocolate peanut butter ice cream and topped with peanut butter syrup, whipped cream and Reese's candies. Turkey Hill Creamery added new dipped treats to its summer menu, two of which are inspired by Reese's Cupfusion characters. The Commander Cup Dipped Dessert is an edible peanut butter cookie dough dipped in chocolate and covered in yellow and orange sprinkles. There's also a Mint the Merciless Dipped Dessert (which is an edible brownie batter dough dipped in chocolate and covered in crushed Hershey’s Mint Cookie Crunch Bars). If that's not enough for you, there's a HERSHEY'S cheesecake dipped in chocolate and covered in crushed Oreos, topped with a cookies-n-crème piece.

New Food Items

Rejoice, my Polish friends! There's now a concession stand in Hersheypark that offers pierogies topped with sautéed onions, bacon bits, shredded cheese, sour cream and grilled kielbasa!

New for summer 2019 at Spring Creek Smokehouse in Hersheypark is a fourth entrée option - the Smoked Brisket, which is thinly sliced and served with barbecue sauce (it's valid for All Day Dining and Summer Season Dining plans, too). Two new dessert options were also added to the Smokehouse menu- the Monkey Bread and Peanut Butter Trifle. Yummy!!!

Gluten-free guests can dine at The Outpost, which is not only gluten-free, but nut-free, too, for those with food allergies. The location now offers gluten-free wraps and specialty salads, including a Southwest Chicken Salad (or Wrap) and a Club Salad or Wrap. The new Spinach Artichoke Flatbread contains gluten free flatbread, grilled chicken, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, spinach, artichokes, and chopped garlic. The menu items are made-to-order, so they can be customized to fit your needs.  Finally, you'll find a new smoked turkey sandwich topped with barbecue sauce at the Dietz & Watson Country Grill in the Pioneer Frontier area.

Oh, and the pretzel pictured below isn't new, but the location (Pretzel House in Founder's Way) is sporting a new look.

Renovated Carrousel

Did you know that Hersheypark's Carrousel is 100 years old? It recently went through a necessary renovation. All of the 66 original, hand-carved wooden horses from 1919 are still on the Carrousel today!

New Food Trucks

The food truck fleet at Hersheypark has expanded! This summer, they welcome a Chick-Fil-A
food truck and a Nathan's food truck to the park.

Hershey's Chocolatetown Progress

If you're a Hersheypark regular then you'll notice some changes as soon as you arrive at the park this season. Construction for Hershey's Chocolatetown (opening 2020) is well underway, and it's pretty exciting to see the progress! You'll find a new temporary entrance way, a new temporary shuttle drop-off area and more. Don't worry, these changes are only temporary, and are necessary in order to bring a new and exciting addition to the Hersheypark family.

There are so many things to look forward to this summer at Hersheypark and within Hershey, PA. This is just a snippet of what you can experience! I hope you'll get a chance to visit and see for yourself! And stay tuned for more of my updates, especially after I get a chance to see the new Reese's Cupfusion ride!!! I can't wait!! 😁
