4 Of The Best Family Fun Activities All Ages Will Enjoy

Monday, October 27, 2025
The secret to a fun day out with the family is doing an activity that everyone (no matter what their age) will enjoy. You can find a range of these activities and day trips below, and they should suit almost  every age, from 9-90! Read on to find out what they are.

Aerial Adventures

One of the most popular ways to spend a family day is by going to an aerial adventure park.  These are outdoor climbing courses that are set up in the trees tops, and can be a great deal of fun to complete both individually and as a family. One of the best things about aerial adventures is that safety is always a priority and equipment like gloves, gear and safety lines are usually provided for attendees.

While an aerial adventure might be a little bit too active for some of the very old or very young members in your family, most will find it an interesting physical and mental challenge that will help build their confidence and give them a new perspective.

Theme Parks

Theme parks are a wonderful place to spend some family time as they are chock full of exciting attractions and rides. America is blessed with many theme parks including the bigger names like Hershey, LEGOland, Disney, and Universal.

However, attending parks like Craigs Cruisers, which is smaller, but still a great deal of fun, can be much more beneficial. With three locations, it could be significantly closer to your home than one of the bigger parks, meaning much less travelling. These parks provide clean and safe facilities suitable for the whole family. They even have unlimited play packages so the kids can go on the ride as many times as they like.

The Zoo

Another great option for a day of fun with the whole family is the zoo. Zoos like the Bronx Zoo house plenty of animals, birds, fish, and reptiles that you wouldn't get to see normally. They are also a great place to learn about animals and their environments as well as get educated on conservation

Museums

If you think that museums are dull and boring, you probably haven't been to one in a while! There are many amazing interactive and highly engaging museums that can be accessed throughout the country. The search museum is the Museum of Illusions which combines little installations of clever plays on perspective for a truly unique and educational trip.

Another great option is the Sloo-Mo Institute also located in New York, which is a mix of art installation and sensory museum, with the main theme of SLIME running throughout. In each colorful room you'll find different ways to interact with the slime, from stretching it and pouring it, to even make your own.  You even get to walk through a pool of slime in your bare feet (which is actually quite enjoyable and will definitely be something your kids will talk about for a long time after).
