How the North Pole Works
Written by Amber Stewart, Illustrated by Kyle Beckett

How the North Pole Works is a visual wonderland! There is so much to discover in the gorgeous, colorful illustrations- for example, did you know that Santa’s Workshop employs 1000 elves and 500 drones to make, pack, and wrap three billion gifts every Christmas? This book is almost like a travel guide of the North Pole, featuring detailed descriptions and illustrations of Santa's Workshop, Santa's Villa, The Cookie Factory, Yeti Village, and so much more (even Krampus Land)! The book is so creative, I even loved reading it as an adult. Recommended for ages 7 and up, hardcover, 64 pages.

Picture Book Ideas for Christmas

Picture books makes great Christmas gifts for kids, but here are some other uses for picture books during the holidays:

-Use picture books as advent gifts. Gift a book every night up until Christmas for some cozy reading fun!

-Pick a few titles to gift on Christmas Eve to help inspire sweet dreams before Santa comes.

-Donate a holiday picture book to someone in need. There are plenty of organizations that accept book donations for kids. One of my favorites is Sweet Reads right here in New Jersey.

-Pick a small picture book to use as a stocking stuffer.

-Gift picture books to teachers or educational professionals. Ask them to make a wish list of their favorite titles for their classrooms.

-Gift a picture book with a cute mug and hot chocolate mix, or include a gift certificate to Amazon or Barnes and Noble (or your favorite local bookstore).

Happy Reading!
