Why I Wanted to Try Fend
My whole family suffers from seasonal allergies. From pollen to dust to animal hair, there is something each of us has to fend off on a daily basis. I, myself, use both an over-the-counter nasal spray and/or a saline nasal spray to help combat these issues. Our son is not as keen about spraying anything up his nose, so I was curious to try Fend, which is a mist you inhale rather than spray inside your nose. All you have to do is squeeze and hold to expel the mist, then inhale deeply through your nose, then repeat for a second breath. I didn't notice any bad smell or taste when using Fend either, which is a big complaint of mine with prescription drug nose sprays.

My Experience with Fend
I really don't like using prescription nasal sprays. The drugs tend to give me a headache and they actually taste awful in the back of my throat. And as I mentioned, our son doesn't like spraying anything up his nose (who does, really?). Yet we need something to help clear our nasal passageways, and Fend was a good choice for sampling. I especially wanted to try Fend in the car, where we spend many collected hours driving to and from school, work and extracurricular activities. My son's allergies and post-nasal drip often act up in the car, even though we do change the car air filters often. The small space and recycled air just don't help his situation. We tried Fend for about 30 days, primarily in the car about twice a day (three times a day is recommended for best results), and I can honestly say that I do think it improved our air quality and how we were breathing. I noticed less post-nasal drip and overall "sniffling" like I usually get in my car. My son also said he thought it helped with the tickly feeling he gets in his nose sometimes. We will continue to use Fend over the course of the next few weeks.
