4 Exciting Highlights of the 2025 The Spring NJ Gem Show
1. Kids Zone – A Family-Friendly Experience
The Spring NJ Gem Show is a perfect outing for families, offering interactive and educational
programming to inspire a love of science and nature. This year, children can create their own
treasure chests to store the special gems, fossils, and sparkling minerals they find throughout
the show. Families can also enjoy an interactive dig pit where little ones can excavate fossils,
gems, and even plastic dinosaurs.
2. Asheville Rising Artist Benefit – Supporting Artists Impacted by Hurricane Helene
Russell and Missy Carhart, co-founders of Hart Events and producers of The Spring NJ Gem
Show, have a history of giving back, especially to communities affected by natural disasters. This year, the show is partnering with Wendy White, founder of Asheville’s "Let’s Choose Love" and "Asheville Rising – Love Along the Way," to support four Asheville artists impacted by Hurricane Helene. The Asheville Rising Artist Benefit will showcase and sell the work of these talented artists, with donation boxes available at the event to support the broader Asheville artist community. This initiative provides a platform for these resilient artists while making a meaningful difference.
3. Rare Fossils, Gems & Jewelry from Around the World
Specialized fossil dealers are participating in this year’s show, bringing items from Africa, North America (specifically the Green River Formation), and Europe. The exhibit will feature pre-historical fossils, including a Tyrannosaurus rex and a wooly mammoth as well as a collection of fish fossils, mammal fossils, and shark teeth. Additionally, gem show attendees can shop for everything from inexpensive trinkets to upscale, customized pieces, including modern and rare gemstones, vintage items, estate jewelry, loose stones, Native American jewelry, artisan and handcrafted pieces, engagement rings, and more.
4. Interactive Fun for Everyone
The Spring NJ Gem Show has something for everyone—from industry professionals and collectors to hobbyists, couples shopping for engagement rings, and yoga enthusiasts seeking metaphysical gems. Adding to the excitement is an Interactive Rubber Duck Hunt that runs throughout the show. Participants can search for gold and silver-painted ducks hidden across the venue and turn them in for a special prize. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities like metal detecting, geode cracking, gemstone sluicing, and panning for gemstones. 2025’s The Spring NJ Gem Show promises unforgettable experiences for attendees of all ages.
