Camelback Mountain Adventures Opens for Spring

If you're looking for some trips close to home this year (or maybe weekend getaways within driving distance), check out Camelback Resort! I'll be heading there this summer so I can give you the official scoop, but in the meantime, read on for all of the upgrades and exciting fun coming to the resort!

This spring in particular, outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers, families, destination travelers and good-time seekers should make plans to visit Camelback Resort in all its springtime glory. The 560-acre all-year Pocono Mountains resort, located within two hours from New York City and Philadelphia, offers new and improved enticements for indoor enjoyment and relaxation. Guests can take advantage of the resort’s new app with its up-to-the-minute information, reservation making and contactless ticketing. And those staying overnight will fall in love with Camelback Resort’s refreshed and renovated all-suite rooms available in 16 configurations to accommodate the smallest and largest groups.

Located at the base of Pocono State Park, Camelback Resort ensures great spring hiking and wildflower seeking – all in fresh mountain air. And, Camelback Mountain Adventures opens five major outdoor attractions this spring with more to come for summer. The following adventures are waiting to be enjoyed:

-On April 5th, the Double Barrel 1,000-foot Ziplines will open so visitors can take in the beautiful natural setting as an adventure on high.
-Pennsylvania’s only mountain coaster, the Appalachian Express Mountain Coaster opens on April 10th and promises thrills with a 4,500-foot steel track and cars that zoom down the steep slopes of Camelback Mountain.
-Challenging outdoor enthusiasts is the 4,000-foot Zip-Flyer opening April 24th, Pennsylvania’s longest zipline where one person zips the mountain with another person right “next door.”
-A special experience for a family and others is the Mountain Segway Tour available May 1st – taking travelers through the forest and supplying off-road adventures complete with thrilling views.
-TreeTops Adventure Course opens May 28th and offers climbing, zipping, swinging and conquering aerial obstacles. There is even a Kids TreeTops Little Explorer Course!


Plenty of Indoor Adventures and Amusements

Voted USA Today’s #1 Indoor Waterpark, Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark at Camelback Lodge has 13 innovative wild water slides, fun rides and cozy new cabanas and VIP areas with North America’s largest Texlon transparent roof. Also, in the Lodge, there’s the new Game of Stones Escape Room where friends and family can lock themselves away to solve puzzles and riddles to discover a way out. Arcadia Adventures features activities such as 7D Dark Ride, climbing adventures and 4D Chaos Jump VR experience. In addition, there are three challenging rope courses, five different laser tag game types, bumper cars, The Ascent Rock Climb and more entertaining diversions.

New Dining Pleasures

New enhanced dining at Camelback is making it the go-to place for area and vacationer visits, packed with fun and exciting eating and drinking. Berrelli's Italian Chophouse with enhanced patios for outdoor dining, presents chops and steaks, favorite pastas, small plates and seafood that promises casual family style enjoyment. Graffiti Pizza features custom wall coverings by former NFL running back Baron Batch based on street styles of the 70s and 80s.This updated pizzeria offers the option to create-your-own pizza, has thirst-quenching beverages and is dedicated to lots of fun. The new Sugar Shack pleases with sweet delights and is in the Lodge on the lower level next to the Arcade.

Re-Imagined Accommodations and a New Resort App

All 453 guest suites have been recently modernized with vibrant colorful pops, rustic furnishings, new fabrics, rich woods and polished marble – with nature and landscape art created by regional artists.
