LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey, located within American Dream in East Rutherford, held a live LEGO® build-off, known as Brick Factor, completing the search for their Master Model Builder (you can read more about the search in my previous post here). Read on to see some of the fantastic LEGO creations and see who was crowned MASTER MODEL BUILDER!

During the judged competition, four expert contestants battled it out in a one-of-a-kind audition taking part in creative challenges and building original LEGO brick models in timed, themed rounds. In the last round, the two final contestants were tasked to build their favorite New Jersey landmark with the help of two special kid judges.
At the end of Brick Factor, one winner was crowned - Matthew Grubin from Brooklyn, NY. As the new Master Model Builder, Matthew will be responsible for maintaining and developing existing displays, building new models, teaching educational workshops and engaging with children and families at LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey, opening at American Dream in spring 2021. Congrats, Matthew!!
