During New Jersey SEA LIFE’s event on November 14th, media and guests were hosted at the brand new EnVue Hotel in Weehawken, New Jersey, Merlin Executives unveiled New Jersey SEA LIFE’s unique 'City Under the Sea' themed concepts through a series of visual presentations and fun activities, with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.

Chief New Openings Officer at Merlin Entertainments stated, "...the much-anticipated New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium will deliver a one-of-a-kind experience that will inspire and educate visitors about the ocean and the diverse creatures that call it home.”

About New Jersey SEA LIFE Aquarium

Exploring through 250,000 gallons of water, SEA LIFE guests begin their adventure in the 'Rush Hour of the Ocean’ platform with subway-style adverts and swarming yellow eels, reminiscent of NYC taxi cabs. From there the journey will progress into the ‘City’s Freshwater’ where visitors can engage with the indigenous fish from the Hudson River, and into the colorful ‘Urban Jungle’ where naturalistic flora and New York Deco architecture intertwine amongst a variety of creatures. ‘Sharks Fish Avenue’ will showcase an imaginative display of storefront windows as the voyage continues through the stunning underwater tunnel centerpiece with a 360-degree view of Manhattan landmarks, such as the Chrysler Building and Times Square, set amidst schools of tropical fish, sharks, rays and more.

Through more than ten interactive exhibits, visitors will experience the creatures of the rock pool that are the ‘Athletes of the Shores,’ the seahorses that are the ‘Ballet Dancers of the Ocean,’ the piranhas that are the ‘Wall Street Wolves’ and the jellies that are the ‘Disco DJs of the Deep.’ The attraction will also offer enlightening talks, events, feeding demonstrations, and more, allowing guests to interact directly with some of the most fascinating creatures on Earth.
