Sunday, March 4, 2018
Easter is almost here! If you're wondering where the best Easter egg hunts, Easter events and Easter activities are in New Jersey for 2018, look no further!  I've picked out some of the best events in New Jersey, complete with an interactive map, website links, and zoom in/out features!

Easter Egg Hunts in New Jersey

It's not easy to find a comprehensive map of Easter activities in New Jersey. Do a google search and you'll come up with a lot of outdated links. So hopefully, the map below will help! You can click on it and zoom in and out to see locations. Each marked location also contains a link or description to help you in your Easter fun search! Most egg hunts and events run throughout weekends in March, as well as on April 1st, so be sure to check dates carefully. Scroll down below the map for more Easter highlights and my favorite picks for Easter fun!

How to work the interactive map:

Click the map to zoom in or out. Click on a bunny icon for more information and links to each location. Click on the icon at the upper left corner of the map for a drop down list of Easter hunts and events. The top right icon will enlarge the map, and the icon next to it enables you to share the map via social media or email.

The Jersey Momma's Personal Pick:
The Rabbit Hole in Oldwick, NJ

We loved visiting The Rabbit Hole at The Magic Shop in Oldwick, NJ.  The Rabbit Hole is essentially a little display inside of a quaint old toy shop (please call their store for exact hours and dates of operation).

Children can climb up into a painted wooden "tree" and slide down a real slide, right into the "rabbit hole." The rabbit hole is a walk-through display of stuffed woodland friends. You can peek into magical little holes to see them, and it somehow winds up feeling like you're really standing in the middle of a big old tree! It's one room where you walk around to peek in all of the nooks and crannies.

These critters were preparing for a stage show! You can see they like musicals.

Great for most ages (The Jersey Momma's Boy is 8 and he loved it), it's something quite unique and sweet. One note for very young kiddos- the light is dim inside the actual walk-through, so if your little bunny is afraid of the dark, just take note or leave the Rabbit Hole door open a crack to let more light in for yourselves!

The Rabbit Hole is free but the store asks that you shop around and find something to buy while you're there - and believe me, it's filled with so many adorable things! There are even antiques and gifts for adults, too, not just toys.

So that's my hoppin' Easter round-up of New Jersey events! Keep checking back until Easter, as I am updating and adding to the map accordingly. Happy Spring!!
