The Jersey Momma's Personal Pick: We loved visiting The Rabbit Hole at The Magic Shop in Oldwick, NJ. Running now through April 22nd (during shop hours), The Rabbit Hole is essentially a little display inside of a quaint old toy shop.
Children can climb up into a painted wooden "tree" and slide down a real slide, right into the "rabbit hole." The rabbit hole is a walk-through display of stuffed woodland friends. You can peek into magical little holes to see them, and it somehow winds up feeling like you're really standing in the middle of a big old tree! It's one room where you walk around to peek in all of the nooks and crannies.
|These critters were preparing for a stage show! You can see they like musicals.|
Great for most ages (The Jersey Momma's Boy is 8 and he loved it), it's something quite unique and sweet. One note for very young kiddos- the light is dim inside the actual walk-through, so if your little bunny is afraid of the dark, just take note or leave the Rabbit Hole door open a crack to let more light in for yourselves!
The Rabbit Hole is free but the store asks that you shop around and find something to buy while you're there - and believe me, it's filled with so many adorable things! There are even antiques and gifts for adults, too, not just toys.
So that's my hoppin' Easter round-up of New Jersey events! Keep checking back until Easter, as we are updating and adding to the map accordingly. Happy Spring!!
