Best New Jersey Day Trips (and Pennsylvania, too!)

Wednesday, March 23, 2022
New Jersey is a fun place to live because of its proximity to so many fun theme parks, state parks, beaches, shops and more.  As the weather turns warmer, we often search for fun weekend adventures, so I gathered a few of my favorite day trips in one place for you to see.  Some are outside The Garden State (but not too far outside, just Pennsylvania!), and some are completely free.  Check it out!

*This post has been updated for 2022! Be sure to call ahead or check the websites of each venue for the most accurate operating hours, safety precautions and ticket costs (if any).

The Raptor Trust - Millington, NJ

The Raptor Trust is a bird sanctuary and rehabilitation center located in Millington (right near The Great Swamp).  Admission is free (with a suggested $2 donation) and guests are free to walk the paths and see the beautiful birds, including owls, eagles, and other raptors they are caring for.  Read all about it here.
